5 Questions for our Sales Manager
1) Michael, what personally motivates you in your role as Sales Manager, and what makes MCS a special employer for you?
Above all, I’m motivated by working on technically challenging client projects and engaging directly with a variety of industries.
The role of Sales Manager involves structuring requirements, coordinating internally, and jointly developing viable solutions. MCS offers the opportunity to support projects from the initial idea right through to series production.
2) Which customer or industry case has particularly surprised you, or what has been your most exciting project at MCS so far?
International projects involving multiple partners and complex interfaces are particularly exciting. This is where the importance of structured communication and clear coordination really comes to the fore. These projects are demanding, but at the same time offer a steep learning curve.
3) What does a typical working day look like for you – from the first emails to the completion of a client project?
The day begins with prioritising ongoing projects and client enquiries. This is followed by coordination with clients and internal teams, preparing quotations, and planning the next steps. Depending on the phase, this ranges from the initial requirements to the transition to series production.
4) Is there a tool or method you use daily to manage your sales pipeline and set priorities?
I work with a structured pipeline overview organised by phase and priority. Additionally, regular team coordination ensures transparency and clear next steps.
5) How do you ensure that customer requirements are fully captured and accurately implemented by MCS?
Through structured requirements gathering, internal coordination with specialist departments, and regular coordination with the customer.
As the point of contact, my focus is on clarity, transparency, and a shared understanding of the objectives.
